Jasper

Jasper is an energetic 1 year old sable German Shepherd, Cattle Dog, and Border Collie Mix with the best personality we have ever met! He was pulled from the euthanasia list from a shelter in OKC, OK. He knows 7 basic obedience commands, is crate trained, house trained, and good around children. Due to his energy and working dog nature, I would prefer him to go to a home where he will be able to do some type of job or practice basic obedience a couple of times a day, and with bigger kiddos. He has tested a very light positive for heart worms and is in the process of treatment for those now. We expect zero complications from this. He takes just a little while to warm up, so he needs a chance to be shown that humans are great people and are trustworthy! MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED dog owner.

Aragorn

Aragorn is a 2.5 year old purebred Siberian Husky with a piebald coat pattern, which is one of the more rare patterns. When we got him from Street Dog Rescue, he was left outside all the time without enough water and had no exposure to living life. He was, however, around children. They would go out and play with him in the backyard, but that's really the only human contact he had. When I first got him, it took him about 45 minutes to approach me. WHOA has he come SO FAR since then! He trusts us so much, and loves to be petted. However he is not the dog that wants to be a lap dog all of the time. He is independent a lot of the time also, and would rather be beside you than on top of you. He is basic obedience trained and crate trained. He needs a strong and experienced husky owner, that is committed to continuing his training to manage resource guarding. (I will continue his training with you.) No children or older children recommended. He is truly a sweet boy that deserves a better life than he has right now, which is in the run or kennel most of the time. He does absolutely love to play with people and other dogs, and he has a favorite toy ball that he has been in love with for so long! He would do fine in a controlled environment with another dog, preferably not a tiny dog due to his natural husky bred prey drive.

Ellie Mae

Ellie Mae is an adult female German Shepherd, who weighs around 80lbs! She is absolutely FULL of life and wiggles her entire body when she hears you wake up every morning! We pulled her from the euthanasia list at Fort Worth Animal Shelter, the day before she was going to be put to sleep. We are SO glad we pulled her into the rescue! She has so much love and life to give, and would literally make someone the best companion. She gets along with each dog we have slowly introduced her to. She likes to play but also likes to have her own space and doesn't annoy the other dogs. She loves to be held! She will give her voluntary hugs as long and as many times as you let her! She will be fully trained upon adoption, and if you would like advanced training for her we are happy to do it once she is adopted for an extra fee. This girl is amazing, please adopt her so we don't decide to!
