In today's blog, I’m going to give you one secret tip to having an obedient dog:
Many people struggle with their dog jumping on them, jumping on furniture, jumping in general, or getting on things they shouldn't.
So, I want to help YOU clarify communication with your dog. It's really important that you don't use the word “down” when you're telling your dog to get off or out of something that is off limits. I would use a word like “off” if they're on something that is off limits. The "down" command is where all four paws and their belly is touching the ground. You may be confusing your dog if they know the "down" command versus telling them "off." This new command can be used consistently for anything that is off limits and they will know to stop what they're doing!
